It was a huge night for our fave divalicious ladies…and the celebs who love them. Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, 50 Cent, Chaka Khan, and plenty more were on hand last night for VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul.

VH1 Divas airs tonight on VH1, but here are the pics from last night’s taping at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Gorgeous headline performers Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, and Kelly Clarkson all posed it up backstage. The show was in honor of all the great cities of soul (Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis, Philly). So the ladies and a few fellas offered up their talents.
Jennifer Hudson hit the red carpet with fellow headliner Jill Scott.
Love these boots. But not loving this whole 60′s inspired golden outfit.
Jilly hit the carpet looking fab in blue. And we don’t know who her man friend is…yet…but he’s a cutie.
She stopped to chat and snap pics with 50 Cent and Chaka Khan. 50 and Chaka also told reporters ont he carpet they are looking to do a film together. That ought to be interesting…
Sherri Shepherd and her new hubby Sal were there.
This is a good look for her. Finally.
The fellas came out to support too–so The Roots and Boyz II Men were on hand.
Kevin Liles brought his wife Erika, who’s a new mom, along.
And Nas‘ sexy self was there and so was Common.
Marsha Ambrosius dipped into her diva wear for the night.
“Love & Hip Hop” creator Mona Scott Young hit the carpet in leopard.
And the show’s co-star Emily B. hit the carpet in a gunmetal sparkling look.
Janelle Bowden was there in a cute look.
Estelle made a hot golden statement. Loves this dress and the fit on her.
Mary J. brought us back to her “Real Love” days with this blonde bob and fur.
LaLa loves a dramatic dress for a red carpet doesn’t she? She rocked this black skirt with a long train in the back and houndstooth top.
Ledisi did a winter white and champagne look.
Estelle, Erykah Badu, and Marsha Ambrosius were on hand to do additional performances. Gotta love Erykah and her ecelcticness.
Jennifer had plenty of outfit changes. This one a sexy red number. She looks great!
And a pink sequins fringed dress for Jen as she posed backstage with fellow headliner Jessie J.

So did Travie McCoy with Estelle.
We’re pretty sure Mary and Chaka brought the whole house down. That’s gonna be good.
